For years now, The EPA or Environmental Protection Agency has been practically making their own laws and states just follow along. The way they get away with this is the difference between laws and regulations. Laws have to go to congress and get voted on and passed but regulations do not have to however you still have to
follow these regulations. So what the EPA does to get around having congress approve something is that they make a vague law but then use their regulations to
make that law what they want for example the clean air act. The EPA mandates the use of catalytic converters and EGR systems in vehicles to reduce emissions, mostly under the Clean Air Act (CAA). This is enforced by the EPA through their regulations,
including penalties for non-compliance and tampering. Did you notice that I said they are enforced by their regulations, this is another tactic used to push what the EPA wants without having to be at the mercy of congress. The only people these rules are hurting are the poor, let’s take their regulations about Detroit diesel engines. If you want to work on this engine you can not take it out of the boat and if you do it is illegal to put it back in. They are making laws about engines that are older than they are!
