Hallee Schoening, one of the most bubbly, vibrant and energetic seniors this year at Seward High, absolutely loves to go on walks with her adorable golden retriever, Hatchet. She also enjoys hiking and nature. Some hikes she
did this most recent summer were Tonsina, Mount Marathon and the Trail River. Her favorite was Mount Marathon.
She’s been swimming for almost seven years now, on and off. When she was asked if she has won any awards, she said, “ No, but when you get first place, sometimes you get a rubber ducky.” Hallee has a grand collection of rubber ducks. Unfortunately, there are only four students on her swim team this year, but Hallee still enjoys it greatly.
After high school, Hallee plans on going to college at the Arizona State University to pursue nursing. She says, “ I will miss walking the halls of the school, and remembering all the crazy and funny things me and my friends have done throughout my high school years.”
When it comes to fun facts about Hallee, she says, “I am super competitive when it comes to board games.” She’s best at playing Monopoly and Candy land. She also says she drinks 3-4 water bottles a day!
Hallee’s advice for the freshmen is, “ Just be a kid. I know it’s cool to act all grown up, but sometimes, I just want to be a kid again. So, be weird because you might regret it.”
