Welcome back to ‘This Vs. That’, where shows or characters go head-to-head against each other to see who’s most popular within Seward High School! This week, we get to witness the battle between two TV shows: iCarly and Victorious.
When iCarly first premiered in 2007, the pilot episode caught the attention of 4.1 million viewers. The series produced six seasons and 109 episodes from 2007-2010.
When Victorious first premiered in 2010, the pilot episode drew the attention of 5.7 million viewers. The series produced 4 seasons and 57 episodes from 2010-2013.
Like the good interviewer and journalist I am, I went around and asked multiple people which they preferred and why. Who’s going to win? iCarly or Victorious? The fate of the winner now lies within the hands of Seward High. Let’s see what the people have to say:
Hallee Schoening (Senior) – “iCarly: Spencer! Spencer is my favorite.”
Philip Trobough (Sophomore) – “iCarly: It’s better.”
Harry LeBrake (Sophomore) – “iCarly: The pear phone. I know both shows have them, but I like Icarly’s pear phone better.”
Kyrah Griffin (Junior) – “iCarly: I don’t remember what the guy’s name is, but I like him. And I think he’s funny, so I choose iCarly.” (Kyrah’s either talking about Spencer or Gibby.)
Kaden Smith (Junior) – “iCarly: Because of Gibby, he’s really funny.”
Sevin Phillips (Sophomore) – “iCarly: Because I like the show aspect.”
Axel LaRock (Sophomore) – “Victorious: The theme song. Jade. Trina is hilarious. Mr. Sikowitz. Awesome peak show.”
Liberty Hart (Senior) – “Victorious: Good music and characters.”
Lexi Ambacher (Junior) – “Victorious: I haven’t seen iCarly.”
Jack Gardner (Senior) – “iCarly.” (He didn’t give a reason.)
Tony Smith (Junior) – “iCarly: Because she’s hot.”
Joel Williams (Math teacher) – “iCarly: It’s the OG. What even is Victorious??”
As you can see, the people have spoken. Victorious only had a majority of 25% of the votes, which leaves a winner: iCarly. iCarly won with 75% of votes. iCarly has taken the victory, I guess you could say the show has been declared “Victorious”.
