Pizza

I really enjoy devouring delicious pizza, so I decided to give cooking it a try. My sister used to make pizza (it was absolutely scrumptious), and I hope mine lives up to the hype. I used a recipe from a site called Tasty named How to Make the Best Homemade Pizza.

The first step of this recipe is to mix 1.75 cups of water with 1 teaspoon of yeast and stir it together. Let it sit for ten minutes until tiny bubbles occur. While you let the yeast mixture sit for ten minutes, mix .75 teaspoons salt, 3.5 cups of flour and 3 tablespoons of olive oil.

After that, mix the yeast water into the flour mixture until a dough begins to form (about a minute). Then put the dough on a clean surface with a dusting of flour to knead for ten minutes. Kneading is a fun, simple step, and it is done by making the dough into a ball and rolling it in all directions.

After the ten minutes of kneading is over, obtain a bowl with 1 tablespoon of olive oil in it; lightly coat the round ball of dough with oil by placing it in the bowl. After that, put plastic wrap over it and place it in the fridge. Leave it in the fridge for one to twenty-four hours, the longer the better.

Take the slightly-risen dough out of the fridge and put it on a clean surface with a dusting of flour; then knead for one minute. After kneading, slice the dough into two pieces and knead into two separate balls. Put in the fridge with plastic wrap over the top. Let the dough rise again for one hour.

Take it out of the fridge and put the dough on a clean surface lightly dusted with flour. Subsequently, start gently spreading the dough into a circle about an eighth of an inch thick, with a little ridge around the outside for the crust. It is totally fine if it is not the perfect thickness because it will still taste amazing.

Next, make your sauce. It should take about 14.5 ounces stewed tomatoes. Blend the tomatoes for about 30 seconds, or until they are completely pureed. Spread some of the sauce evenly on the pizza.

Afterwards, put the cheese of your choice on the pizza. Spread it evenly on top of the sauce. I used about a half cup of shredded cheddar jack cheese.

Finally, choose some toppings. They may include pepperoni, mushrooms, onions, bacon, or anything else you desire on a pizza.

I was really happy with how my pizza turned out. My sister said, “Better than I expected.” I look forward to making it many times in the future. I highly recommend this pizza recipe. Tasty.com did a great job creating it.
